This letter is from a Brisbane Barrister who is an expert in estate law. His concerns are about the lack of uniformity in Australia about succession to property on death of Australian citizens who own property.

Reply from Attorney-General

The federal Attorney-General’s reply - or more correctly, the reply from his office - is an example of the transfer of duty and leadership away from those who should be exercising it. After more than 20 years since the commencement of the project for uniform succession laws in Australia, it seems that it is all too hard.
Could it be the old story that change is too hard to contemplate?
Have your say.
